Suicide Bombings in Islam – Dangers of Islam #3

Muslims are well known for their suicide attacks, but very few people know why they are doing this.

Islam is completely against suicide, but not against martyrdom.

Martyrdom in Islam is extremely different from martyrdom in Christianity.

In Christianity, it means choosing death instead of giving up your religion.

In Islam, is means dying while killing for Allah.

The term “suicide bomber” doesn’t exist in Islam.

In Islam, it is known as a Fedayeen or Shahid – a martyr.

The point of the bomber isn’t suicide — it is to kill infidels in battle.

This was not only permitted by Muhammad but encouraged with promises of earthy rewards in Jannah (Islamic heaven), including food and sex.

Before we get into the article, we need to have some context.

According to Quran Surah Al-Baqarah 2:85:

“Do you believe in some of the Scripture and reject the rest? Is there any reward for those who do so among you other than disgrace in this worldly life and being subjected to the harshest punishment on the Day of Judgment? For Allah is never unaware of what you do.”

All Muslims must respect the whole Quran, and are not allowed to cherry-pick certain verses that they want to follow, and reject others out of convenience.

For them, it is mandatory to keep the entire Quran, or face “the harshest punishment on the Day of Judgment”.

In the Quran, at Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:48 we can read:

“So judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires over the truth that has come to you. To each of you We have ordained a code of law and a way of life.”

Muslims strongly believed that they are ordained to follow the Sharia Law and the Sunnah, to emulate Mohammed’s way of life.

We can find this in Surah Al-Ahzab 33:36

“It is not for a believing man or woman—when Allah and His Messenger decree a matter—to have any other choice in that matter. Indeed, whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has clearly gone ˹far˺ astray.”

Please notice that Mohamed, is always mentioned as final authority.

Muslims believe that Allah said to them: “Whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger (Mohamed) has clearly gone FAR astray.”

In Islam, when you are gone far astray, it is grave sin, and you can as well be killed.

Some people might say that not all Muslims are like this and not all of them follow Prophet Mohamed’s way of life (Sunnah) but this couldn’t be more wrong.

90% of all Muslims in the world, are Sunni Muslims, which means they keep the Quran, Sharia Law and the Sunnah (way of like of Mohamed) as their moral compass.

Now let’s get into the actual Quran, Hadith, and Sira verses:

Quran Verses:

Quran (4:74) Surah An-Nisa:

Let those who would sacrifice this life for the Hereafter fight in the cause of Allah. And whoever fights in Allah’s cause—whether they achieve martyrdom or victory—We will honour them with a great reward.

Quran (9:111) Surah At-Tawbah:

Allah has indeed purchased from the believers their lives and wealth in exchange for Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah and kill or are killed. This is a true promise binding on Him in the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran. And whose promise is truer than Allah’s? So rejoice in the exchange you have made with Him. That is ˹truly˺ the ultimate triumph.

Please notice that “Allah” doesn’t even know the Torah and the Gospel, since Mohammed claims “Allah” told him that they encourage the “kill or get killed in the name of Allah” mentality.

Quran (2:207) Surah Al-Baqarah:

“And there is the type of man who gives his life to earn the pleasure of Allah…” This would not be in the Quran if it were not permissible.

Some newer and softer translation remove “gives his life” and used “dedicates” but this is for the non-Muslim audiences – the Arabic word used is “sell” and in that context it would be “man who sells his life”.

Quran (3:140-141) Surah Ali ‘Imran:

If a wound (and killing) has touched you, be sure a similar wound (and killing) has touched the others. And so are the days (good and not so good), We give to men by turns, that Allah may test those who believe, and that He may take martyrs from among you. And Allah likes not the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers).

And distinguish the ˹true˺ believers and destroy the disbelievers.

Quran (61:10-12) Surah As-Saf:

O believers! Shall I guide you to an exchange that will save you from a painful punishment?

˹It is to˺ have faith in Allah and His Messenger, and strive in the cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives. That is best for you, if only you knew.

He will forgive your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow, and ˹house you in˺ splendid homes in the Gardens of Eternity. That is the ultimate triumph.

This verse was given at the battle of Uhud and uses the Arabic word, Jihad.

The dark-eyed virgins are mentioned in several places as well, including verses 44:54 and 52:20.

Quran 44:54 Surah Ad-Dukhan:

So it will be. And We will marry them to maidens with gorgeous eyes.

Quran 52:20 Surah At-Tur:

So (it will be), and We shall marry them to Houris (female fair ones) with wide, lovely eyes.

For those who swing the other way, there are “perpetual youth” in verse 56:17, otherwise known as “boys” in verses 52:24 and 76:19.

Quran 56:17 Surah Al-Waqi’ah:

They will be served by immortal boys,

Quran 52:24 Surah At-Tur:

And there will go round boy-servants of theirs, to serve them as if they were preserved pearls.

Quran 76:19 Surah Al-Insan:

And round about them will (serve) boys of everlasting youth. If you see them, you would think them scattered pearls.

Quran 17:33 Surah Al-Isra:

And do not kill anyone which Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause.

This verse specifically is used by suicide bombers to justify their own deaths, but also the ones of bystanders, including Muslims too.

Everything is justified for them, as long as the goal it to defeat Kafir (non-Muslim) and establish Sharia Law and Islamic rule.

In the whole Quran there is only one verse who discourages suicide, but only apart from martyrdom, and that is the following:

Quran 4:29 Surah An-Nisa:

O you who believe! Eat not up your property among yourselves unjustly except it be a trade amongst you, by mutual consent. And do not kill yourselves (nor kill one another). Surely, Allah is Most Merciful to you.

Now let’s get into the Hadith and Sira!

Hadith & Sira:

Sahih Bukhari (52:54):

The words of Muhammad: “I would love to be martyred in Allah’s Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred.”

This is why modern-day Jihadists often say that they love death, including Mohammed Hijab, who’s famous online for his views on Islam, Jihad, Sharia Law:

Sahih Bukhari (52:46):

“Allah guarantees that He will admit the Mujahid in His Cause into Paradise if he is killed, otherwise He will return him to his home safely with rewards and war booty.”

Sahih Muslim (20:4678):

It has been reported on the authority of Jabir that a man said: Messenger of Allah, where shall I be if I am killed? He replied: In Paradise. The man threw away the dates he had in his hand and fought until he was killed (i. e. he did not wait until he could finish the dates).

In the version of the tradition narrated by Suwaid we have the words:” A man said to the Holy Prophet (may peace be upon him). on the day of Uhud……”

During the battle of Uhud, Muhammad was desperate to push men into battle. He promised paradise for those who would martyr themselves, prompting a young man who was eating dates to throw them away and rush to his death.

Sahih Muslim (20:4655):

It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Of the men he lives the best life who holds the reins of his horse (ever ready to march) in the way of Allah, flies on its back whenever he hears a fearful shriek, or a call for help, flies to it seeking death at places where it can be expected. (Next to him) is a man who lives with his sheep at a hill-top or in a valley, says his prayers regularly, gives Zakat and worships his Lord until death comes to him. There is no better person among men except these two.

A man asks Muhammad “which of men is the best?”

Muhammad replies that it is the man who is always ready for battle and flies into it “seeking death at places where it can be expected.” (The next most saintly man in Islam is the hermit who lives in isolation “sparing men from his mischief.”)

Please notice the last sentence “There is no better person among men except these two” and Muhammed is subtly pushing men to become like these two.

The hermit, is clearly hard to achieve and undesirable for many – so the easiest choice is the first one.

Sahih Muslim (20:4681):

The tradition has been narrated on the authority of ‘Abdullah b. Qais. He heard it from his father who, while facing the enemy, reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Surely, the gates of Paradise are under the shadows of the swords.

A man in a shabby condition got up and said; Abu Musa, did you hear the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) say this? He said: Yes. (The narrator said): He returned to his friends and said: I greet you (a farewell greeting).

Then he broke the sheath of his sword, threw it away, advanced with his (naked) sword towards the enemy and fought (them) with it until he was slain.

Sahih Muslim (20.4635):

Muhammad: “Nobody who enters Paradise will (ever like to) return to this world even if he were offered everything on the surface of the earth (as an inducement) except the martyr who will desire to return to this world and be killed ten times for the sake of the great honor that has been bestowed upon him.”

This can also be seen in Bukhari 56:13, and the title of Book 56 is “Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad)”

Sahih Muslim (55:93) A lengthy parable told by Muhammad, in which a boy chooses to die in order to spread religion, thus legitimizing the practice.

Sahih al-Bukhari 4169 Book 64, Hadith 211:

I said to Salama bin Al-Akwa`, “For what did you give the Pledge of allegiance to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) on the day of Al-Hudaibiya?” He replied, “For death (in the Cause of Islam.).

Sahih Muslim (19:4450) Book 32, Hadith 160:

In the process of trying to kill a man who is protecting his community, a Muslim loses his own life due to a tactical error. “So I came to the Prophet weeping and I said: Messenger of Allah. Amir’s deed has been wasted. The Messenger said: Who passed this remark? I said: Some of your Companions. He said: He who has passed that remark has told a lie, for ‘Amir there is a double reward.”

Jami’ At-Tirmidhi, Vol. 3, No. 1663, p. 410

Al-Miqdam bin Ma’diykarib narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: “There are six things with Allah for the martyr… he is married to seventy-two wives among Al-Huril-‘Ayn [virgins] of Paradise…” This hadith verse attributes the origination of the ’72 virgins’ teaching to Muhammad himself.

Many Muslims in the Arab world, who are less concerned with public relations, celebrate and revere suicide bombers, knowing that martyrdom in battle is glorified by their religion.

As the Ayatollah Khomeini put it:

“The purest joy in Islam is to kill and be killed for Allah.”

Brethren, we need to be strong, and we MUST educate our families, friends and community about Islam.

We need to take care of our families, friends, cities, and countries.

Stay strong in faith, and do everything out of love.

There’s no place for hate in our hearts. So as long as we can, let’s try to educate our Muslim brothers and sisters, instead of judging them.

They are also humans like us, created in the Image of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Remember, don’t judge them, help them while being cautious about all these things that Mohammed and their religious leaders brainwashed them to believe.

“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.” – Matthew 7:1-2

I know it’s hard, but peace is the number one objective.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.” – Matthew 5:9

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”- John 14:27

Do not allow them to sin, by harming and oppressing you – but at the same time don’t harm and oppress them. (self-defense is justified)

God bless!
